Act \u2013 Part XI &#8211; Sec. 354<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Master shall send report, by all possible means of communication, to ships in vicinity and the prescribed authorities, if he encounters the following :\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Dangerous ice<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00a0Dangerous derelict<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00a0Tropical storm i.e. hurricane, typhoon, cyclone, etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00a0Direct danger to navigation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00a0Sub-zero air temperature, associated with gale force winds, causing severe ice accretion on the super-structure.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00a0Strong gale of wind force\u00a0<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"blob:https:\/\/sailorvikas.com\/7f3b9737-9cf5-48c8-bb8c-00abb8f63623\"> 10 for which there was no storm warning.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u00a0The authority receiving the above information shall communicate the same to all ships and authorities as soon as possible.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SOLAS \u2013 Chapter V&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Every State shall ensure that if any danger messages are received from any reliable source, these shall be promptly communicated to all concerned.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Message may be in any form, either in plain language (preferably in English) or by means of International code of signals and preceded by safety signal TTT or SAYCURITY.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It shall be free of cost to the ship.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Following information shall be included in the message :<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In case of ice, derelict or other direct danger to navigation &#8212;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Kind of danger.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Its last position.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Date and time (UCT) when it was last observed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u00a0In case of tropical storm &#8212;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u00a0Date, time (UCT) and position of the ship when it was observed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00a0Barometric pressure.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00a0Barometric tendency during the past 3 hours.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00a0True wind direction and force.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00a0State of sea.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00a0Swell condition, true direction, period or length.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00a0True course and speed of the ship.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00a0Further observations may be made and transmitted every 1 to 3 hours as long as the ship is under the influence of the storm.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u00a0In case of winds of force\u00a0<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"blob:https:\/\/sailorvikas.com\/495f0d49-f2cb-46e0-9fa7-0312737a8a34\"> 10, other than tropical storm, for which there was no storm warning &#8212;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Date, time (UCT) and position of the ship when it was observed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Barometric pressure.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Barometric tendency during the past 3 hours.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>True wind direction and force.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>True course and speed of the ship.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In case of sub-freezing air temperature, associated with gale force winds, causing severe ice accretion on superstructure &#8212;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u00a0Date and time (UCT).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00a0Air and sea temperatures.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00a0Wind force and direction.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Other Dangers to Navigation M.S.
