- Name of the consignee, if known (or quite often if a bank has financed the deal it will be made out ‘to order’).
- The leading marks necessary for identification.
- The number of packages or quantity or weight.
- A description of the goods.
- The date of shipment.
- The port of loading.
- The port of discharge.
- Freight details and charges.
