CREWING COSTS: These include:

  1. Officers and crew wages, leave pay etc.
  2. Overtime
  3. Pension, union, insurance contribution for crew 
  4. Establishment costs (recruitment, training etc.)
  5. Crew travel expenses
  6. Sundry, unrecoverable medicals. 

STORING COSTS:

  1. Provisions, victualling
  2. Deck and engine general stores
  3. Paints
  4. Ropes & cordage
  5. Lubricants
  6. Cabin stores / laundry etc.
  7. Fresh water 

MAINTENANCE COSTS:

  1. Deck repairs and spares
  2. Engine repairs & spares
  3. Electronic & Navigational aids including charts and publication
  4. Surveys, certification etc. 

INSURANCE COSTS:

  1. Insurance of hull and machinery
  2. P & I insurance cost
  3. Insurance for loss of earning
  4. Deductible allowance
  5. Insurance for war risks. 

ADMINISTRATION COSTS:

  1. Communication costs
  2. Port cost on owners account
  3. Management fee
  4. Miscellaneous costs (business development, administration etc.) 

*An apportioned, estimated drydock expenses should be taken into account.
