Documentation – certificates to be carried on board

LIST OF CERTIFICATES AND DOCUMENTS REQUIRED TO BE CARRIED ON BOARD CARGO SHIPS EXCEPT HIGH SPEED CRAFT

Notes:

  1. Not required for tankers with a keel laying date before 01 January 2009.
  2. The stand applied to the ship for all rudder & propulsion of 100 mtr in length and over. Chemical carrier and gas carrier irrespective of the length.
  3. MARPOL Annex VI/Regulation 20 & 21 will apply to cruise passenger ship having non conventional propulsion and LNG carrier having conventional or non conventional propulsion, delivered on or after 01/09/2019. Reg. 20 & 21 may not apply to cargo ship having ice breaking capacity.
  4. Survey and issuance of Certificate only if required by the flag state or owners as same is covered under MLC.
  5. For provision, hose handling and machinery cranes, national regulations may apply.
